murderball and salad

We had people over last night to watch Murderball. It is defiantly worth seeing if you can find it, amazing the ability of people to over come. What was equally as good as watching quadriplegics knock the carp out of each other was this salad my wife made. Do yourself a favor and make it, eat it, enjoy.

a long over due update.

So we are moved and established in this new and strange land of Kansas. There are still a few boxes yet to be unpacked up things are coming along. It is amazing to see the progress everyday on the town around us. Greensburg is coming back in a big way. I can’t believe God is letting Julie and I be apart of it.

On another front I read this at another blog I follow.

“Section 211 of the “Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008” allows for a “qualified bicycle commuting reimbursement” for “reasonable expenses incurred by the employee during such calendar year for the purchase of a bicycle and bicycle improvements, repair, and storage, if such bicycle is regularly used for travel between the employee’s residence and place of employment.””

Where does the time go? I feel like it just pours down the drain. God grant me a measure of perseverance, lest I be lost. Help me to be faithful and not wayward.

Greensburg

We had the privilege of spending sometime in Greensburg, KS this weekend. It was an amazing experience. It is hard to know for sure what God has in store for this town but it is amazing to be able to see it was it happens.

On the Saturday we got there, an art show was going on. It was held at the 547 Art Center, what an amazing

facilitate. And the artist was the perfect fit for the town. His name is Justin Marable, check his stuff out.

The church we visited was full of amazing people; they are in an amazing position to be an example to the community and the rest of the Kingdom of God.

What a wonderful place.

On this 4th of July let this be a comfort to you. In a country were American Idol, Desperate Housewives, and So You Think You Can Dance? are the most popular show on television. And Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” is one of the top songs in the country. Where we have two (choice 1 and choice 1b) political candidates from two parties that have failed to deal with many issues for decades (energy policy, social security, healthcare, education, just to name a few).
Take comfort in the fact that there really is nothing else better than us.

i am not confused…

I have had this weird confused feeling for the past several days. It is hard to describe and I am not really sure what I am confused about. But today when I logged into facebook I might have figured it out. This is what I saw.

Why would you (facebook) try to make me question this? Image what happened if I got this one wrong. That would cause so real problems in my life. Image the problems it would cause for my wife
